Design and Manufacture of Bespoke Furniture & Woodwork

My name is Nick Alberici and I’ve been a cabinetmaker designing and making furniture for about 10 years. Whilst the workshop is based in South Devon, near the popular holiday destination of Salcombe, my furniture has been installed in homes across the country and is predominantly handmade.

In the gallery you’ll find an eclectic mix of furniture designs and applications which reflect the diverse wishes of clients be they private individuals, designers, architects and/or business organisations.

Commissioning a piece of furniture is very straightforward. You may want a contemporary, practical piece or something that can become an heirloom. You may have a good idea of what wood you like or how you want your piece to look or you may want something to fill a particular space. My design input can be minimal or total. A common scenario is when a client sees a piece of furniture in a catalogue or showroom but wants it made from a alternative wood or of a slightly different design or not so many drawers or more drawers...well you get the idea.

Bespoke furniture is surprisingly affordable. Whilst craftspeople cannot hope to compete financially with a factory product, what the client receives is invariably a creation that is more than the sum of its parts; a perfect solution for them and something to treasure. Well designed furniture never goes out of fashion.

I also produce built in/fitted furniture for bedrooms, living rooms and studies; bespoke joinery, cabinets, gift boxes, jewellery boxes, made to measure doors both internal (i.e wardrobe doors) and external, bespoke kitchens and kitchenware (i.e chopping boards). I also fit ready made kitchen units.
